February 25, 2005
Dear Marie-Francoise,
I apologize for my
belated input to your letter informing the alumni community about the great
achievements of the new Department of Neurobiology. I certainly am very proud to be alumni and would be happy to participate
in any future departmental event. I
also would like to congratulate your wisdom for advancing the Department of
Neurobiology to a central position in UCLA Neuroscience.
In terms of my own
achievements that may concern your Department, I just learned that I was
selected to be the chair and speaker in a plenary symposium at the 2005 Society
for Neuroscience Convention in Washington DC.
I am honored to contribute to the legacy of the Department of Neurobiology
and hope that this can help broaden the prestige of UCLA Neuroscience as a
whole. I would be pleased to hear more
news about your department and count on me for any event.
Best Regards
Fernando
