Currently, I am working at Charles Drew University of Medicine in Science, in the field of immunotherapy, dealing with boosting natural killer cells using natural biological response modifiers (BRMs).  We have discovered a few BRMs that have the capacity to enhance the immune system with minimal or no side effects.  It may be of interest to note the strong relationship between the effects of stress and the immunomodulatory function by BRMs.  It is my future interest to gain more knowledge by researching this relationship.  Hopefully, I will be able to share these findings with other members of the Neurobiology department at UCLA.  We are also doing research project with Dr. Edwin Cooper at UCLA on the effect of stress on coelomocytes of earthworms, which we are hoping will be accomplished in the next few months.  I hope that 2005 will witness more collaborative projects.
